Since 1995, the City of Livonia lost over $2 Million per year from the Michigan Department of Transportation to pay for community transit.




On November 8, 2005, the residents of the City of Livonia, Michigan were given a choice to stay or withdraw from the Wayne County Transit Authority.



On November 30, 2006, SMART public bus service came to an end without a vote to remain the same in one piece.
